From the recording The Path to Hell

The path to hell

When I was small I had much more than i wanted
A child of privilege lacking nothing at all
The thought that I might miss a meal was so unreal when I was small

As time wound down I saw that not everybody
Was born and raised as though were heir to the crown
That fate dealt some a hungry hand
I’d understand
As time wound down

One fateful day I knew I had to do better
To build a world in which we all got a say
And anyone that was in need
I pledged to feed
One fateful day

The path to hell is paved with all good intentions
The end result as sharp and clear as a bell
And now it’s all turned out so wrong
And I am onthe path to hell
